Who is behind Futsal Squad?
Futsal Squad is built by Ruben Lozano, a remote marketer and futsal player based in Alicante, Spain. He plays five games a week with local pickup groups and built the app to fix the argument that started every one of them: who plays with who. Every feature ships only after it has been used on a real court first.
Why was Futsal Squad created?
Because picking teams by hand never produced fair games. Recreational futsal groups change every week — regulars drop out, guests join, and the same two strong players keep ending up together. Futsal Squad stores a rating for each player, then generates lineups whose combined strength is as even as the roster allows, in a few seconds instead of ten minutes of arguing in the changing room.
Is Futsal Squad only for Spain?
No. It was born in Alicante but the interface is available in English, Spanish, French and Portuguese, and groups use it anywhere futsal or 5-a-side is played. Prices are shown in euros or pounds depending on your location, and nothing in the app assumes a specific league or federation.
What does Futsal Squad actually do?
Three things: it keeps your roster and player ratings, it generates balanced lineups for 2 to 6 teams, and it records games with goals, assists and results so ratings improve over time. Around that sit availability polls, anonymous Crowd Ratings collected from the group, a player portal, league seasons and tournament brackets.
Is Futsal Squad free, and how does it make money?
The free plan covers one group with up to 15 players, manual balanced lineups and game tracking, with no card required. Paid Pro and Elite plans fund the project by unlocking AI lineups, deeper analytics, more groups, larger rosters and tournaments. There are no ads and player data is never sold.
How can I suggest a feature or report a problem?
Use the contact page or the ideas board inside the app, where suggestions are public and other groups can vote on them. The most requested ideas go into the monthly release notes, so you can see exactly what shipped and when.
