    What's New in v1.4.0

Team customizer reset, lineup re-roll button, security hardening with per-lineup rate limiting

    Features in this release

Reset to Defaults in Team Customizer

We added a 'Reset to Defaults' button in the Team Customizer that restores all team names and colors back to their original values — Team White, Team Black, Team Yellow, and Team Blue — with a single click. This is especially handy when you've been experimenting with custom names or colors for a specific event and want to quickly return to the standard setup without manually editing each team. The reset only affects unsaved changes in the customizer; your previously saved presets remain intact until you explicitly save.

    Lineup Re-roll Button

After generating a lineup, you'll now see a Re-roll button on the lineup summary card. Clicking it instantly regenerates the teams using the exact same pool of available players, team count, and rules — no need to scroll back up, re-check availability, or reconfigure anything. The algorithm produces a fresh arrangement each time, so you can quickly cycle through different possibilities until you find a lineup that feels right. This is perfect for those moments when the first result is close but not quite balanced enough, or when you simply want to explore alternative combinations.

    Security Hardening & Rate Limiting

This release includes several behind-the-scenes security improvements. Survey notification emails are now validated against actual survey submissions before sending, preventing unauthorized email triggers. All user-controlled inputs (player names, comments) are sanitized with length limits and HTML tag stripping. Payment-related error responses no longer leak internal details. Most notably, we introduced per-lineup rate limiting — each lineup is capped at 5 notification emails per hour, ensuring that even if the survey link is widely shared, the system remains protected against abuse without affecting legitimate usage.
