What's New in v1.6.0
Install the app guide, 4 new competitor comparisons, Alternatives hub, and security hardening
Features in this release
Install the App Guide
A new section inside Settings walks you through adding Futsal Squad directly to your home screen or desktop dock. It includes step-by-step instructions for four platforms — iPhone/iPad Safari, Android Chrome, Chrome/Edge on desktop, and Safari on macOS — so you can launch the app with a single tap or click without ever opening a browser tab. The shortcut behaves like a native app, remembers your session, and removes the address bar for a cleaner full-screen experience.
4 New Competitor Comparisons
We added four brand-new SEO-optimized comparison landing pages: Capo, fiveaside.app, Coach Amigo, and Statzo. Each page includes a side-by-side feature matrix, pricing comparison, and an honest breakdown of when Futsal Squad is the better fit (and when it isn't). They're available at /alternatives/[slug] in English and /es/alternativas/[slug] in Spanish, helping potential users coming from search engines find the right tool for their group.
Alternatives Hub + Unique Share Images
All seven competitor comparison pages now live together in a new Alternatives hub at /alternatives (and /es/alternativas), presented as a clean grid for easy browsing. On top of that, every comparison page now generates its own custom Open Graph share image (e.g. 'Futsal Squad vs Capo') instead of falling back to the generic homepage preview — so links shared on WhatsApp, X, or LinkedIn look polished and contextual.
Find Players Security Hardening
We tightened the security policies around the Find Players marketplace. Insertions into the player offer responses table now verify that the target request actually exists and is still open before being accepted, closing a defense-in-depth gap flagged by our security scan. This prevents any chance of malformed offers being attached to closed or non-existent requests, keeping the marketplace data clean and trustworthy.
